Graduation, performance, and then straight to school!

Hello Hello!

These past two days have been absolutely FANTASTIC! There are so many pictures, so I've broken them down into 3 parts: Friday morning, Friday afternoon and night, and Saturday. For some reason some of the pictures look blurry when Blogger resizes them, so please feel free to click on the picture for a closer look!

FRIDAY MORNING

Friday was Dong Pu Elementary's sixth and kindergarten classes' graduation. So we left the house at 6:30 AM...yeah I had to wake up at 5:30....I'm really not used to how early everyone wakes up here.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON and NIGHT
After graduation and lunch, all the Vox Nativa music students headed over to Jiayi for their performance. Well over by the Dongpu Elementary School is the SCARIEST bridge EVER. This bridge was destroyed by this really awful typhoon last August.

the bridge

close up! The students had to walk across it....ah so scary!

you can see the students walking in the bottom left hand corner

safe on the other side of the bridge that isn't damaged!

About 2 hours later, and we were at our destination. The Vox Nativa Music School of Taiwan sang for a charity dinner, where it cost 10,000 NT (around $303.03 US dollars) a seat! The money raised during ticket sales and during dinner is given to the groups that performed.

and practicing some more outside....

it looks like there's a glass ceiling, but there's no glass....just metal frames

After rehearsal and dinner we all headed to the dressing room. Getting ready for their performance was quite hectic and very much reminded me of my ballet recitals.

excited to get on stage!

I felt so bad for the kids...the speaker talked for a VERY long time. It must have been so hot with those bright lights shining on them!

singing time!

I didn't take too many pictures during the performance because I kept crying! I really don't want to leave for Shanghai! I want to stay here forever.

thumbs up everyone :)

There's a documentary about the Vox Nativa Music School of Taiwan called "Sing it!", and A-kuan brought the DVDs and CDs to the charity event. They sold out, and even had some back-ordered! So if you would like to order a DVD or CD let me know!

SATURDAY
We got to our hotel pretty late last night, but of course....we had to wake up at 6 am in order to get to class on time.

Okay don't laugh....I never understood why so many people owned Crocs because a lot of them are U-G-L-Y...but I understand now. THEY ARE SO COMFYYYYY. I hate to say it, but I sort of want to buy a pair!

I'm sort of behind on posts, so be patient!
